Mário Vitória is an artist. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Porto. Holds a Master at the same Faculty on Practice and Theory of Design and a Masters in the field of Visual Arts at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Porto. During the academic course conducted intermediate studies in Lyon (France), Bologna (Italy) and Sheffield (England). Among his most recent solo exhibitions are “Semeando Espelhos no Escuro da Perspetiva – Alice na Cidade”, International Colloquium Epistemologies of the South: South-South, South-North and North-South Global Learnings, various locations in Coimbra, 2014; “Padrão dos Encobrimentos”, Teatro Municipal da Guarda, Guarda 2014; “Fugindo da sombra da montanha”, Centro de Memória, Vila do Conde 2013; “Tal qual um cortejo Dionisíaco”, Espaço My Porto Cruz, Vila Nova de Gaia 2013; “Os mais resistentes na orla da madrugada”, Galeria do Casino do Estoril, Estoril 2013; “Lavando o Açúcar na fonte acreditando em novos gerúndios”, Galeria Aparte, Porto 2013. His greatest work “Apocalipse e o rapto da Europa” was exposed in Guimarães in the Alberto Sampaio Museum, the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança in the European Capital of Culture for 2012 and in 2014 in Machado de Castro Museum in Coimbra, as part of the international International Colloquium Epistemologies of the South: South-South, South-North and North-South Global Learnings. He is represented in numerous official and private, national and international collections.
